4 វិធីដែល Beyoncé បានបង្កើតប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រជាមួយនឹងការតែងតាំង Grammy ចុងក្រោយរបស់នាង

Once again, Beyoncé is the queen of the Grammys, as she emerged as the most-nominated artist at the upcoming 2023 ceremony. The chart-topping powerhouse is up for nine awards, landing just one nod ahead of Kendrick Lamar. With her latest swath of nominations for the biggest honor in music, one of the most prolific, successful, and decorated people in entertainment has made history once again, and in several very impressive ways.

Here’s a look at four ways Beyoncé made history after the 2023 Grammy nominations were revealed.

Tied For The Most Nominations Ever

With her nine new nominations, Beyoncé advances on the list of artists who have racked up the most chances to win…and she’s not the only one who surges. The Queen has now been nominated for 88 Grammys throughout her career, including her work with Destiny’s Child and as one-half of The Carters. In an incredible bit of coincidence, her husband Jay-Z also landed enough nods this time around to tie his wife, and the two now stand side-by-side as the most nominated artists in Grammy history.

Tied For The Third-Most Nominations In One Night Among Women

Nine Grammy nominations is an incredible showing, and in many years, the most nominated artist collects somewhere just under 10 nods. Amazingly, 2023 marks the third year in which Beyoncé has managed nine nominations, as she also did so in both 2017 and 2021, the last year she was nominated.

Only twice before have women garnered more Grammy nominations in a single ceremony, and one of them was Bey herself. In 2010, she was up for 10 trophies, which tied her with Lauryn Hill for the most chances to come home a winner among female stars.

Looking at all artists, two men are tied for the record for most single-evening Grammy nominations, as both Michael Jackson and Babyface nabbed a dozen nods in 1984 and 1997, respectively. Behind them come Kendrick Lamar and Jon Batiste, with 11 each.

Most Record Of The Year Nominations

Among her many nominations this year, Beyoncé is up for Record of the Year for her No. 1 single “Break My Soul,” and 2023 is not the first time she’s been in the running for that particular prize. In fact, with one more nod in that field, Bey now claims the most Record of the Year nominations ever, with eight. Until yesterday, she was tied with Frank Sinatra, who managed seven during his lifetime. Somehow, she has never won, but maybe her ninth try will be her luckiest one.

Thus far, Beyoncé has seen all of the following tracks nominated for the Record of the Year Grammy: “Say My Name” (with Destiny’s Child), “Crazy in Love” with Jay-Z, “Irreplaceable,” “Halo,” “Formation,” “Black Parade,” “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion, and now “Break My Soul.”

Second-Most Song Of The Year Nominations Among Women

“Break My Soul” is also nominated for Song of the Year at the 2023 Grammys, and while Beyoncé has already claimed this trophy–the only one of the big four she’s taken home–she’s still looking to add to her collection. This latest honor marks her fifth time being up for this specific trophy, and with one more feather in her cap, the superstar now sits in second place among women with the most Song of the Year nods. She comes in just one nomination behind Taylor Swift, who nabbed her sixth opportunity to win with “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film).”

Including all songwriters, Beyoncé is now tied with Burt Bacharach, Bruno Mars, and John Lennon, and she sits one nod behind Swift, Paul McCartney, and Lionel Richie, with half a dozen apiece.

Beyoncé has seen the following five tracks earn Song of the Year Grammy nominations: “Say My Name” (Destiny’s Child), “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” (which won), “Formation,” “Black Parade,” and “Break My Soul.”
