Not only did Suga write, produce, and perform on the single, he also features heavily in the music video. The clip sees Suga and Psy strutting around in cowboy attire, leading a group of dozens of dancers and even fighting with one another, though it looks like everyone involved is having a good time.

If Psy had released “That That” alone, it likely would have become a trending topic for some time and a charting hit in his native South Korea. The musician made history with his breakout smash “Gangnam Style,” which introduced many around the world to K-pop back in 2012. At the time, it rose to No. 2 on the Hot 100, becoming the first top 10 hit performed in Korean, and it remains one of the most successful tunes in that language ever. The only artist who has risen higher on the ranking of the most-consumed tracks in the U.S. is BTS. Psy is still an enormous star in his homeland, but his popularity has waned in Western nations.

While Psy surely could have enjoyed a successful comeback without bringing anyone else into the fray, the fact that Suga is featured on “That That” changes things considerably. His presence takes things to an entirely different level, both artistically and commercially. The most prolific member of BTS (outside of his work with the group, that is) has already made history with his solo music and collaborations with the likes of Juice WRLD and Halsey, and now he’s surely going to score another huge hit alongside Psy.

“That That” was just released, so it won’t begin popping up on charts for a week or so, but it’s bound to become another hit for both acts. In fact, it may land Psy his most impressive placement on many singles rankings in more than half a decade, while Suga never stays away too long. It will almost certainly hit the Hot 100, but where it may settle as it debuts is unclear.

What is clear, however, is that with two of the most famous and beloved K-pop artists together on a single that millions have been waiting years for, chances are a new global smash has just been unleashed.
