Not surprisingly, and three episodes into the current season, HBO has greenlit the resort-set anthology drama ផ្កាឈូកពណ៌ស from Mike White for a third season. The new season will also follow a new group of guests at an entirely different White Lotus location. The first season was set in Hawaii, while the second is set in Sicily.

“Reflecting on ផ្កាឈូកស' humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO drama series and films in a statement. “And yet, he’s only continued to reach new heights in season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision. His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humor and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”

Debuting in July 2021, the first season of ផ្កាឈូកពណ៌ស won 10 Emmy Awards (with 20 nominations), including Best Limited or Anthology Series and trophies for both Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett in the supporting actress and actor categories.

The current third season of ផ្កាឈូកពណ៌ស, which opened with a dead body found in the ocean, stars Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Adam DiMarco, Beatrice Granno, Jon Gries, F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza, Will Sharpe, Tom Hollander, Sabrina Impacciatore, Haley Lu Richardson, Simona Tabasco, Leo Woodall and the returning Jennifer Coolidge. There is no official word if Coolidge will be back as quirky Tanya McQuoid (but chances of that happening are likely).

Four episodes remain in the current sophomore run of ផ្កាឈូកពណ៌ស. The season concludes on December 11.
