Chase will be one of the first big banks to report fourth-quarter 2022 financial results on Friday, and Wall Street expects a mixed bag.

Revenue at the bank is forecast to swell to $34.5 billion in the period, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet. That’s up from revenue of $29.3 billion in the year-ago quarter as the bank is projected to see a nearly 40% increase in net interest income to $19 billion. But gains there are unlikely to translate to steeper profits: Analysts expect net income to be $9.5 billion, or $3.08 per share, down from earnings of $10.4 billion in last year’s fourth quarter.
