គ្មាន NIL ទៀតទេ ក្រុម Rose Zhang ជាមួយ Adidas Golf ក្នុងការចូលរួម Pro Ranks

A year ago, as Rose Zhang was building a resume that would make her the game’s most decorated women’s amateur golfer, she became the first college athlete to sign a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) endorsement agreement with adidas.

Now, as she turns professional and makes her pro LPGA Tour debut this week at the Mizuho Americas Open, Zhang has strengthened ties with adidas. The 19-year-old Stanford University product signed a multiyear contract to wear adidas apparel, footwear and accessories while on the golf course.

“As I begin this next phase in my career, I can’t wait to represent the 3-Stripes as a professional,” said Zhang, who ends her amateur career with an unprecedented 141-week run at the top of the Women’s Amateur Golf Rankings. “Over the past year we’ve been able to work on some amazing projects together. I love the products and can’t wait to continue this journey with the adidas team.”

Zhang earlier this month finished her sophomore season at Stanford by becoming the first woman to ever win consecutive NCAA Division I individual golf titles. She received the 2022 and 2023 Annika Award as the nation’s top female collegiate golfer and this season set an NCAA scoring average record of 68.7, surpassing the previous record she had established last year by almost a full stroke.

Zhang’s amateur victories include the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur, the 2021 U.S. Girls’ Junior, and the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur. She also won 12 NCAA tournament titles in just 20 collegiate starts at Stanford, a school-record that’s one better than Tiger Woods, Patrick Rodgers and Maverick McNealy.

“Rose is an elite golf athlete who represents the future of the women’s game,” said adidas Golf global director of sports marketing Tim McNulty. “Her accomplishments to date are extraordinary, but we know she’s determined to be the best in the sport, and that’s something we are excited to support as she begins this next chapter of making history.”

Zhang joins a roster of adidas athletes that includes world No. 1 Jin Young Ko, No. 5 Minjee Lee, No. 14 Nasa Hataoka and No. 22 Linn Grant on the women’s side as well as world No. 5 Xander Schauffele, No. 17 Collin Morikawa and No. 18 Tyrell Hatton on the PGA Tour.
